Speaking on India’s spectacular win over Australia at the Gabba on 02 June, Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara said on 02 June that the unbearable pain and body tremors he had to endure during the match motivated him to do better. “I think it (Body Blow) inspired me to do even better. Yes, I was in a bit of pain during the first two blows. When I stuck in one place for 3-4 times more then the pain was even more. At one point my fingers hurt, the pain was unbearable,” he said. “The physio asked me if I needed painkillers. I refused him because I don’t like taking medicines during games as it probably disturbs my concentration sometimes. I told myself that I am getting hit but my ultimate focus is to draw the game or win the game for the country.”
