Instagram is testing a new feature that allows users to add music to their feed posts, something similar to Reel and Instagram stories, India is one of the few countries where the company is testing this feature. the other two are Brazil and Turkey,
With this feature, Instagram is planning to give its users a way to add soundtracks to their feed photos. Support for adding music is already available Instagram Stories and Instagram Reels, However, users post short videos on the reels; Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours. it has no expiry instagram feed post. According to the company, the feature is being tested with a small percentage of Instagram’s global community and has been expanded based on learning and feedback from the Instagram community.
How users can add music to their feed posts on Instagram:
Upload your feed photo (following simple steps)
Add Music. click on
Search for specific songs in the ‘Search’ field or browse music in the ‘Trends’ or ‘For you’ sections of the prompt
Select the song you want to add to your photo.
Once a user clicks on a song, he or she will be taken to an audio page that shows all feed posts using that song.
Users can then select the clip duration (similar to stories) and the length of time they want to include (up to X seconds)
Click Done and then Share
