International Conference on Innovation in Agriculture held

Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) Bengaluru organized a one day International Conference on Challenges, Opportunities in collaboration with Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, UK, University Technology MARA, Malaysia and Faculty of Management Sciences, Surathni Rajabhat University, Thailand. and innovation in agriculture, plantation and allied domains presented by the pandemic on Thursday

Delivering the inaugural address, IIPMB Director, Prof. VG Dhanakumar emphasized on developing a research culture to address the issues arising out of the pandemic. He encouraged the delegates to strive for publication in peer-reviewed and internationally indexed journals of the ABDC, ABS and FT50 series.

David Bojward, Professor and Dean, School of Entrepreneurship, Royal Agricultural University, presented a paper on ‘A Strategic Model for Opportunity Identification and Entrepreneurship within the Rural and Agricultural Sectors’. He discussed various entrepreneurship models, applications and their impact on rural development.

The event also provided an opportunity to share research papers of registered faculty members and scholars from around the world. The conference had 18 shortlisted paper presentations focusing on various aspects of multicultural issues of the agro-plantation sector. The paper presenters appreciated the efforts of the Institute in organizing research conferences and also for valuable inputs to improve their work.
