Investors using Zerodha platform may face problem in selling stocks with CDSL

Investors of online brokerage house Zerodha on Monday said its users may face some issue while executing sell orders due to “a problem” related to depository Central Depository Services (India) Ltd (CDSL).

It tweeted, “You may be facing an issue authorizing the sale of your shares due to an issue with CDSL. We are in touch with CDSL to resolve the issue at the earliest.” In another tweet, Zerodha said, “Now you can give up CDSL authorization if you want to sell your stake on Kite, till CDSL resolves the issue of authorization. Please authorize your holding by 5 PM.” Make sure you do.”

CDSL has not commented on the issue.

CDSL, which is one of the leading depositories, allows investors to deposit securities by opening an account in an electronic form (dematerialized).
