Now a new rumor related to the new OS version of Apple has surfaced online.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, iOS 16 is likely to bring the always-on lockscreen to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The publication revealed that this upcoming feature is hinted at in the code for iOS 16 that the company recently released.
According to code obtained by 9to5Mac, there are three frameworks related to backlight management of the iPhone’s display. These frameworks are used by various components of iOS, including the lock screen. Simultaneously, the report also states that there are multiple references to one always on display Within Springboard, which manages the iPhone’s lock screen and home screen.
The report further states that there are hidden flags within iOS 16 that can be used by Apple engineers to enable the Forever capability.
