Riding on the back of a glorious century KL Rahul, LSG put 168 on the board. Notably, none of the batsmen from Lucknow performed. Had it not been for Rahul’s 103, LSG would have folded for a very low score.
Manish Pandey He was the second highest run-scorer for LSG with 22 off 22 balls. Going forward, LSG dug-out would like to give better performance to their batsmen.
Chasing 169 runs, Mumbai Indians started well. He lost his first wicket in the 8th over as Ravi Bishnoi sent back Ishan Kishan. After Ishaan’s dismissal, it all went downhill for MI as none of the batsmen looked comfortable except Tilak Verma.
Verma provided some hope for MI, scoring 38 off 27 balls. But he did not last long and Holder dismissed him. Pollard’s poor batting performance was a major factor in MI’s loss. The Big Man scored 19 runs in 20 balls and could not really score runs.
