Tim David waged a bidding war but Mumbai Indians bought the big-hitter for Rs 8.25 crore, 20 times his base price. David got the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from the most successful IPL side who are known to fully back their talents.

Mumbai Indians got off to a poor start after losing their first two matches but Tim David said everyone in the team is slowly settling down and hoping to get back on the winning track. The 5-time champions lost to Delhi Capitals in their opening game before losing to Rajasthan Royals over the weekend. Their next match will be against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday, 6 April.
David said of Rohit, “He has been a fun captain.”
“I’ve only played two games with him, so it’s just getting used to playing with him. It’s getting used to playing with a lot of people in the team, but we’ll find our feet and as a team go on and on.” I’ll start playing better. But it’s been good fun so far,” he said.
Tim David, who made his international debut in 2019, has played 14 T20Is and scored 558 runs at an astonishing rate of 159.52. David has scored 1978 runs in 91 T20Is at a strike rate of 159.
David said he is enjoying the opportunity to learn from Kieron Pollard, one of the game’s best finishers.

David did not do well in the first two games for Mumbai Indians but the all-rounder said that he has got used to the Indian pitch. David has had recent experience with wickets in the subcontinent after playing in the Pakistan Super League in February.
“I think Polly has played in the IPL for over ten years, so there’s a lot of experience there,” said David.
“I think it happens naturally over time. You can’t get it straight on a notebook. It happens here or there with different questions, different situations, different in training Trying to drive experience and some ideas behind it.
“Just get around a little bit and hopefully, I can get some experience from them, and maybe some that I can try and use in a game or that I can add to my game that is successful. It is possible.”
