Rajasthan Royals put in a complete clincher to beat Lucknow Super Giants by 24 runs on Sunday to finish second on the points table.

Opting to bat, Royals scored 178 for 6, with Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring 41 off 29 balls, while Devdutt Padikkal and captain Sanju Samson scored 39 and 32 respectively.

Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets for 31 runs for LSG. Chasing the target, LSG scored 154 for 8 wickets.

Despite resistance from Deepak Hooda, who scored 59 off 39 balls, LSG could not finish the match as no other batsman looked like taking the game away from RR.

Marcus Stoinis Contributed 27, but wasn’t able to really move at the right time to make an impact.

Trent BoultObed McCoy and Pramukh Krishna took two wickets each, while Yuzvendra Chahali And Ravichandran Ashwin got one each for the Royals.
