Rahul Tripathi playing for SRH against KKR in the 25th match of IPL 2022
Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kolkata Knight Riders in the 25th match with 7 wickets and 13 balls to spare IPL 2022. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Kolkata Knight Riders lost their top three-order batsman early in the powerplay. However, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell managed to score 175 on the board with 54 and 49 runs respectively. Fast bowler T Natarajan (3/37), Marco Janssen (1/26), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/37) tried to snatch the game from the Knights.
Janssen sent Aaron Finch Scoring just 7 runs in his debut match for KKR. Natarajan then took the wickets of Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narine In the fifth over and KKR were reduced to 31 runs for 3 wickets.
Aman Malik took two further strikes, taking the wickets of Shreyas Iyer (28) and Sheldon Jackson (7). Rana hit two sixes and six fours in his 36-ball knock before being dismissed by Natarajan in the 18th over.
Russell added 55 runs in his 25-ball innings, hitting four sixes and as many fours. SRH successfully chased down the target in 17.5 overs with the help of Rahul Tripathi Aiden MarkramBrilliant stroke-play.
Tripathi and Markram scored 71 and 68 runs in 37 and 36 balls respectively for Hyderabad. It was SRH’s third consecutive win and KKR’s third defeat in six matches.
