Mumbai Indians (MI) fast bowler Jofra Archer was not happy when he learned that the news of him traveling to Belgium to consult medical professionals about his elbow troubles amid IPL 2023 had made headlines. As per a report in The Telegraph, Archer recently underwent a ‘minor procedure’ on his right elbow in Belgium. The MI pacer played just one game before losing four consecutive matches for the franchise. He made his return to the playing XI in the game vs Punjab Kings but again missed the next match against Gujarat Titans. As per a report, he is expected to play the match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
Archer loses his temper over incomplete report on his elbow injury
In a tweet, Archer vented his anger at reports that he had been operated on for a re-occurrence of his eight elbow problems. An injury to his right elbow kept Archer out of action for two years. This England fast bowler showed anger when the news of the alleged operation was published without the consent. Archer wrote: “Publishing articles without knowing the facts and without my consent is madness. Shame on you reporter, what an already worrying and troubling time for a sportsperson and you are using it for your personal gain.” use, it’s people like you.” this is the problem.”

Shame on you reporter, its already a worrying and troubling time for a sportsperson and you exploit it for your personal gains, it is people like you who are the problem.

Growing frustration of England fast bowler
Archer has not played a single first-class match in more than two years. It all started with a stress fracture injury in February of 2021, followed by recurring pain in his right elbow, which led to multiple surgeries. Archer, in the process, missed the Ashes, IPL 2022, T20 World Cup 2021 and 2022 respectively. He returned to the SA 20 League where he represented MI Cape Town. Archer, who was bought by MI in the IPL 2023 mega auction, made a comeback to the T20 league and played his first game for the five-time champions vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 2 before he again dropped out.
As per a report in ESPNcricinfo, the England star is now expected to make a comeback in the MI playing 11 for the game against Rajasthan Royals. MI are already missing the services of Jasprit Bumrah, who is not playing IPL 2023 due to a stress fracture.
