Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a dramatic win over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday and moved out of the bottom with 8 points from 10 matches.

They are level on points with Delhi Capitals, who have 8 out of 10 appearances, but the Hyderabad team are placed above on the basis of a better net run rate.

Rajasthan missed a chance to go second in the table as they let the match slip out from under their noses. Sandeep Sharma’s no-ball in the final delivery of the game, cost them the win as the free hit went for a boundary and helped SRH cross the finish line.

After the shock result, RR finished fourth in the table with 10 points from 11 games.

Defending champions Gujarat Titans extended their lead at the top with their win over Lucknow Super Giants earlier in the day as LSG missed out on a chance to overtake second-placed Chennai Super Kings.

After their loss against Hardik Pandya’s GT, LSG finished third with 11 points.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are fifth in the table with 10 points from as many games, followed by sixth-placed Mumbai Indians and seventh-placed Punjab Kings on points. The three teams are separated by net run rate alone.

Kolkata Knight Riders are at 8th position with 8 points after 10 matches.
