IRCTC announces special train ‘Dakshin Darshan Yatra with Bangalore, Mysore’ from Mumbai; details here

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come up with Bharat Darshan (Splendors of India) ‘Bangalore Mysore with Dakshin Darshan Yatra’ tour package, which will start from Mumbai on January 10 and end on January 20. The special 10 nights and 11 days package will cost Rs 10,395 per adult for standard category and Rs 12,705 for comfort category. IRCTC will run a ‘Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train’ for this tour package.

The tour package will cover Mysore, Bengaluru, Rameswaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Trivandrum and Tirupati. The train will start from Mumbai with boarding points at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Kalyan, Lonavala, Chinchwad, Pune, Daund, Kurduvadi, Solapur, Kalaburgi and Wadi. Booking of Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train is available online on IRCTC website and can also be done through Tourist Facilitation Center, Regional Offices and Regional Offices of IRCTC.

Here’s what you need to know about ‘Dakshin Darshan Tour with Bangalore’

Date: The 10 night/11 day special train will depart from Mumbai on 10 January. The yatra will end on January 20 in Mumbai.

Covered Destination: Mysore, Bangalore, Rameswaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Trivandrum and Tirupati.

travel costs: Rs 10,395 per adult for standard category and Rs 12,705 for comfort category.

Booking: Booking of Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train is available online on IRCTC website. Booking can also be done through IRCTC Tourist Facilitation Centre, Zonal Offices and Regional Offices.

Boarding Points: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Kalyan, Lonavala, Chinchwad, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Solapur, Kalaburgi and Wadi.

De-boarding Points: Wadi, Kalaburagi, Solapur, Kurduwadi, Daund, Pune, Chinchwad, Lonavala, Kalyan and CSMT.

Package include:

Do’s and Don’ts:

Here are few points IRCTC has given to make your journey better and comfortable:

  • Aarogya Setu App is required to be installed and used by everyone including employees.
  • Tourist should wear face mask and hand gloves.
  • Luggage should be disinfected at the reception/boarding point.
  • All tourists will have to follow the mandatory health advisories issued by the Central Government, State Government and the local administration on which they are visiting.
  • The tourist should avoid using other tourist’s phone, water bottle, umbrella etc. as much as possible.
  • Social distancing should be followed during boarding/ de-boarding/ any other transport of train, monuments and pilgrimage sites, mass lunch, dinner etc.
  • Overcrowding and overcrowding in train corridors, gates, cabins, hotels/ dharamshalas etc. should be avoided.
  • Touching of idols/statues/holy books etc. is not allowed in religious/tourist places.
  • No physical offerings like prasad/distribution or sprinkling of holy water etc. inside the religious place.

step 2: Click on Login option on the homepage

step 3: After logging in, you need to go to the ‘Book Your Ticket’ page

step 4: Enter start and end station, boarding and destination station

Step 5: Select your date of travel and the class you wish to travel in

Step 6: Check if the seat is available in the train of your choice

Step 7: If seats are available, click on BOOK NOW option

Step 8: Provide required details to book tickets

Step 9: Enter mobile number and captcha
