Amazing food stuff abounds in the internet. From quick and easy kitchen hacks to awe-inspiring recipes created by the chefs, we can’t help but keep watching these videos over and over again. Food bloggers and influencers have carved a niche for themselves, and their followers are well aware of the content they create. Pastry chef Amaury Guichon, for example, creates chocolate creations of objects that are larger and surreal than life. Meanwhile, another food maker, Natalie Sidesurf, has her own style of making cakes that look like household items. Recently he has made a unique video which looks like a whole onion at first sight. The video was shared on Instagram by @sideserfcakes (or Side Surf Cake Studio), which has a fan following of 702k on Instagram. She has been making hyperreal cakes since the trend started in 2020, and often stuns the internet with her surreal creations. This special Instagram video of onion cake is gone viral and garnered over 4 million views and 176k likes.
In the short viral video, we see a whole onion placed in the middle of a plate. Natalie grabs it and cuts it in two when we see the vegetable really turn into a cake! The incredible creation stunned everyone on Instagram. “This is one of my favorite cakes I’ve ever made…and it’s an onion lol,” she wrote Topic, “Not gonna lie. Top layer got me,” commented one user, while another wrote, “I need a thesaurus because wonderful and brilliant words.. doesn’t even fit how mind blowing it is” Going to do!”
Some even questioned whether the onion peels on the outside were genuine. he revealed in notes, “This is not a real onion peel, I made this out of edible vanilla wafer paper. I have a tutorial that shows how it was made on YouTube.”
