Hyderabad: With Telangana Eyeing big game in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) space, Telangana Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao made a strong pitch on Thursday to the top boss of Taiwan-based Hon High Technology Group, more popularly known as FoxconnTo set up shop in the state.
During a meeting with Young Liu, chairman of the $206 billion turnover Hon Hai Group, in New Delhi, KTR Discussed Foxconn’s plans to expand its presence in India and urged them to include Telangana.
Foxconn currently has facilities to manufacture mobile phone brands such as Apple and Xiaomi. Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
According to a release, the minister briefed Young Liu about the steps taken by the Telangana government to create an enabling environment and infrastructure for promoting electronics manufacturing in the last eight years since its formation.
“Chairman Liu said that India is an attractive manufacturing destination, and we look forward to seeing how we can expand our manufacturing footprint. Our India experience has been exciting, and we look forward to exploring those opportunities.” Telangana as a state,” KTR’s office said.
