Jacqueline Fernandez leaves EOW office after 7 hours of questioning in Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case

bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez The Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police on Monday questioned for over seven hours in an extortion case involving alleged thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar. This was the second time the actress was called for questioning by the Delhi Police for her alleged involvement in a Rs 200 money laundering case.

According to reports, the authorities have asked the actress to provide details of her bank records and alleged gifts given to her parents for investigation.

Jacqueline was to be questioned face-to-face with fashion designer Lipakshi. However, the latter did not turn up for questioning due to ill health. Jacqueline is to appear in Patiala House Court on 26 September in the cognizance of ED’s supplementary chargesheet.

The Sri Lankan Fernandez was questioned for over eight hours last Wednesday. Actress Nora Fatehi was also questioned by Delhi Police for more than four hours in this case.

Earlier, Special Commissioner of Police (EOW) Ravindra Yadav told ANI that Sukesh would try to influence Bollywood actresses as he had huge assets which he had acquired through extortion. Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s colleague Pinky Irani had apparently introduced Bollywood actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi to Thugs.

Chandrashekhar, who is currently in jail, is accused of defrauding various people, including high-profile individuals such as Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh. The ED had on August 17 filed a chargesheet naming Fernandez as an accused in the multi-crore money laundering case involving Chandrashekhar. According to the ED, Nora Fatehi and Fernandez received luxury cars and other expensive gifts from him.
