Nora Fatehi has been summoned after actor Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned by the Economic Offenses Wing of the Delhi Police on Wednesday in a Rs 200 crore extortion case against thief Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Police said he is expected to join the questioning on Thursday.

Special Commissioner of Police (Crime and EOW) Ravindra Yadav said Ms. Fernandez was questioned about the gifts received from Chandrashekhar. The Special CP said that Pinky Irani, who had introduced Ms. Fernandez to Chandrashekhar, was also called.

More than 50 questions were asked. Further questions were also asked during the interrogation. Ms. Fernandez was grilled for nine hours. “Initially, he was not aware of his activities, but later, he did,” he said.

A senior police officer said that after the news of Chandrashekhar’s arrest became public, he had deleted photographs and other evidence from his phone. “Pinky was interrogated separately. Later, they were confronted,” the official said.

“We questioned him about his alleged links with the thugs. Since most of the evidence is public, she could not deny her relationship with him,” the official said.
