Jamshedpur FC qualified for their maiden Indian Super League semi-final with a 3-0 win over Hyderabad FC in a top-of-the-table encounter here on Tuesday.

The result saw Jamshedpur outclass Hyderabad FC in the table, apart from qualifying for the semi-finals for the first time.

The only fault of Jamshedpur’s impeccable performance was Mobashir Rahman’s dismissal in the 68th minute.

Chinglensana Singh (5th minute) scored a goal of his own to help Jamshedpur take the lead before captain Peter Hartley (28th) and Daniel Cheema Chukwu (65th) snatched the game from Hyderabad.

Jamshedpur are now pole position with 37 points from 18 matches, two more than Hyderabad (35 points) with one game to go.

The result is more believable as Jamshedpur won against the leaders without Greg Stewart, who has arguably been their best player.
Stewart is serving a one-match suspension after receiving four yellow cards.

Hyderabad made a lot of changes to the team compared to the previous game and Bart Ogbeche was also not included in the mix.

After the game started on a frantic note, Chinglensana put the ball into his own net when a low shot from Mobashir Rahman took a wicked deflection off his leg and wrong-footed goalkeeper Gurmeet Singh, who was playing for the first time this season. Were were Experienced mentor Laxmikant Kattimani.

The opening goal hurt the league leaders as they shifted gears, seeing more balls in the final third as Jamshedpur pressed them over the park.

But Jamshedpur doubled their lead from the set piece.
Alexandre Lima spins Hartley into a delightful corner to make the highest jump, leaving Gurmeet in his place.

The Men of Steel took a 2–0 lead at half-time and the Owen Coyle-coached team never took their foot off the pedal in the second half.

Hartley came close to doubling his goal from a corner and Cheema pulled a wide from the pass.
The in-form Nigerian didn’t have to wait too long for a goal, getting a poor camera clearance at home, which was set up for him by Lima.

Hyderabad could have pulled one back but Javier Siverio missed from close.
