Japanese woman tastes ‘Palak Paneer’ for the first time, her reaction

A Japanese old woman tries ‘palak paneer’ and vegetable curry for the first time.

The spices, taste and aroma of Indian cuisine are popular across the world. People from many countries come to India only to taste the unique and spicy food of India. According to a video going viral, an old lady in Japan also gave her seal of approval to an Indian dish.

The woman is now seen trying spinach paneer and vegetable curry for the first time in the famous video.

It was shared by Steppin’ Kitchen on Instagram on 18 April. The page is managed by its owner Nisha Zaveri, who runs a Kobe based, vegetarian catering service.

In the viral video, senior citizens are seen chopping paratha (flat bread) and palak paneer (a dish made of spinach and paneer) together, and are amazed by its taste. After this she tells the person shooting the video that the food is healthy.

The video has garnered over 23,000 views on Instagram and over 1,660 likes. Users have commented openly on the post.

One user wrote, ‘She will never eat Japanese again.

Another user commented, “Everyone should at least try real Indian food from India….not what they serve outside.”

Last month, a video of a little girl trying Indian food for the first time at a restaurant in Australia went viral on social media.

Indian cuisine includes a wide range of regional and traditional dishes from the Indian subcontinent. These dishes vary greatly due to differences in soil, climate, culture, ethnic groups and occupations, and use locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits.

Indian cuisine has shaped the history of international relations – evidence of the spice trade between India and Europe. Spices were sent from India to Europe and other parts of Asia.
