Jaisalmer: A gypsy carrying BSF Barmer sector personnel returning from firing range in Jaisalmer’s Kishangarh on Thursday night overturned, killing one jawan on the spot and injuring two other jawans.
In view of the critical condition of the injured jawans, they were referred to Jaisalmer. These jawans had come to participate in the firing competition organized at Kishangarh firing range.
Ramgarh Police along with BSF officials reached the spot and started the rescue operation. On Friday, BSF Barmer Sector DIG Vineet Kumar and other officers reached the spot and collected information and ordered an investigation.
On Thursday night, the soldiers of the 50th Battalion were returning to Kishangarh by giving food and other items to the soldiers practicing in the firing range, when suddenly the slow and hard gypsy overturned, in which Head Constable Virendra Singh (38) is a resident. Haryana died on the spot while two jawans were seriously injured. In another accident, a private bus and a car collided, causing the bus to overturn. Fifteen passengers were injured.
