JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Analysis: Physics toughest, Chemistry easy in IIT entrance

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-Bombay) concluded the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2022 Exam Paper 1 on Sunday, August 28. The exam is being conducted today in two shifts – morning shift is scheduled between 9 am and 9 am. 12 noon, and the afternoon shift will start at 2:30 pm and end at 5:30 pm. While the answer key and paper analysis will be available when the entire exam is over, as of now the analysis for paper one is over.

Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer, Vidyamandir Classes, analyzed based on the students’ feedback that the Mathematics part in JEE Main Paper 1 was moderate and not difficult, Chemistry was scoring and the Physics part was a bit difficult.

He says, “After interacting with many students it is being concluded that the degree of difficulty in the Physics paper was high. As compared to last few years, maths was normal this year and not very difficult this year, students said. For Chemistry paper students said that the level was general and questions were asked from most frequently asked sections of the subject.

“This time there were a total of 54 questions. There are 18-18 questions in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Candidates must bring their admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center. They have to follow all the given instructions and dress code while appearing in the exam.

Top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The exam is for admission to undergraduate level courses in IITs, among other institutions.

Candidates will be able to get a copy of their answers from the official JEE Advanced website, jeeadv.ac.in, which will begin at 10 am on September 1, after the exam ends today. After that the provisional answer key will be made available for download on 3rd September at 10 am. Candidates will have until 5 pm on September 4 to raise objections. The final answer key and JEE Advanced result will be released on September 11 at 10 am after taking into account all the objection requests.

JEE Advanced 2022 is conducted for admission to 23 IITs. The exam consists of two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2 and both are compulsory. The first sitting (Paper-1) will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second sitting (Paper-2) will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Precautions were taken in view of COVID-19 and students were screened before entering the centre. Till now no mistake has been done as the whole paper is yet to be analyzed.
