What Is JEE Advanced?
JEE Advanced is a national-level entrance exam conducted annually for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is considered one of the most challenging engineering entrance exams in India.
Only candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam and rank among the top performers are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The exam tests a candidate’s understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics through two papers, both of which are mandatory.
Scores obtained in JEE Advanced are used not just for admission to the 23 IITs, but also considered by a few other prestigious institutes like IISc Bangalore, IISERs, IIST, and RGIPT for select courses.
