JEE Main 2023: NTA to release notification soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 The notification is expected to be issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) this month itself. Once released, interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Like last year, in 2023 also the exams will be conducted in two sessions. The notification is likely to be released soon and the application is expected to start by the end of November.

JEE Main 2023 will be held in session 1 January and session 2 in April. As per the rules, the best marks obtained by the candidates in any two sessions will be considered to calculate the rank. Students can choose to take a session of both. The application forms for the second session will be out by March. The exam will be conducted in Online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Candidates who have passed class 12 board exam or will appear in the exam next year Eligible to appear for JEE Main Exam 2023, There is no age limit to apply for the exam. Candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent exam in 2021, 2022, or 2023 can appear for the exam irrespective of their age. However, candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the institute(s) in which they are seeking admission.

In 2022, NTA introduced negative marking in Section B of JEE Main. Earlier there was no negative marking in the exam pattern but in 2022 the new exam pattern was introduced. One mark was deducted for every wrong attempt. The exam is conducted for a duration of three hours. There are total 90 questions in the test, out of which 75 will be compulsory. Four marks are awarded to the candidates for each correct answer. JEE Main 2022 was conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu mediums.
