Jessica Chastain, Peter Sarsgaard to lead Michelle Franco’s ‘Memory’

Oscar winner Jessica Chastain and actor Peter Sarsgaard will star in filmmaker Michelle Franco’s new film.

Titled “Memory”, the film revolves around living in New York City and marks Franco’s second America-set film after 2015’s “Chronic.” deadline.

In addition to Chastain and Sarsgaard, the film also stars Merritt Weaver, Josh Charles, Elsie Fisher and Jessica Harper.

Festival favorite Franco won the Venice Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize for his 2020 feature “New Order”. His other directing credits include “After Lucia”, “April’s Daughter” and “Sundown”.

“Memory” is produced by Teorema in association with High Frequency Entertainment, and Screen Capital/Screen One, Mubi, and Case Study Films.

Chastain, who won the Best Actress Oscar this year for “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”, will next be seen in “Good Nurse” and “Mother’s Instinct”.

Sarsgaard most recently starred in the Hulu series “Dopesic” as well as films such as “The Batman” and “The Lost Daughter”, which was directed by his actor-wife Maggie Gyllenhaal.
