‘Jet speed’: Shiv Sena takes a dig at Maharashtra Governor’s order for floor test

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today termed as “illegal” the Maharashtra Governor’s order for the floor test of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra. Soon after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was ordered to prove his majority yesterday, Shiv Sena approached the Supreme Court against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s order.

Talking to media persons here, Raut said, “It is called jet speed. The governor was only waiting for this moment. It is an illegal activity as the disqualification case of our 16 MLAs is pending in the SC.”

The Governor has written a letter to the Secretary of the State Legislative Assembly with the same agenda to convene a special session of the State Legislative Assembly tomorrow. vote of confidence As per the notification against CM Thackeray, the session will start at 11 am which will also be telecast live.

The governor’s order comes hours after BJP leaders, including former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, met him on Tuesday night and asked the Thackeray-led government to prove its majority in the assembly. Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress coalition government seemed to be in minority as 39 Shiv Sena MLAs from Shinde faction have said that they do not support it.
