Shop owner claims 2 kg gold jewelery and ₹1 lakh cash is missing
Unidentified persons ransacked a jewelery shop at Pukkiravari near Kallakurichi in the early hours of Monday and fled with cash and valuables. The theft came to light when the shopkeepers near the jewelery shop found the lock on the main gate missing and informed its owner Loganathan of Kallakurichi.
Mr. Loganathan lodged a complaint with the police that gold jewelery weighing around 2 kg and cash worth Rs 1 lakh were missing from the shop. However, the exact value of the jewelery and cash is yet to be ascertained, police said. On information, Superintendent of Police P. Pakalawan reached the spot and inquired.
A case has been registered and further action is being taken.
