J&K DGP Dilbag Singh says 14 terrorists killed in 8 operations so far this year

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police on Thursday said that 14 terrorists, including 7 from Pakistan, have been killed in eight operations so far this year.
DGP Dilbag Singh said this after participating in the wreath laying ceremony of Senior Grade Constable Rohit Chhib, who was martyred during the encounter of security personnel with terrorists in Kulgam on Wednesday.
DGP Dilbag Singh said, “It was unfortunate that we lost our brave constable Rohit Chhib. During this encounter, terrorists were trying to take civilians hostage and use them as shields. But our brave jawans killed them. civilians were saved.”
According to the DGP, this method of hostage-taking is a new technique that Pakistani terrorists are now frequently using. “They did the same in Hyderpora, they are trying to use civilians as shields.”
Constable Rohit Chhib lost his life while trying to save civilians during Kulgam encounter. DGP Singh said, “Fourteen terrorists have been killed in eight operations this year. Seven of the 14 terrorists were from Pakistan.”
When asked about terrorist infiltration along the Line of Control during Republic Day, DGP Dilbagh Singh said, “Our jawans are keeping their eyes on the borders. Terrorist infiltration is closely monitored.
