The 22-year-old actor got engaged to Pete on February 2, she revealed on Tuesday, sharing photos from the proposal on Instagram.
“I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it could take air out of your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you couldn’t help but feel your eyes welling up with undeniable joy.” I never knew a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so undeniably beautiful. I never knew you. Date It was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest woman. I love you more than an Instagram caption can ever do justice. Hanging out with you forever feels like a real dream So let’s do it,” she wrote alongside a series of beautiful photos.
On his page, Pete wrote, “The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Totally incomplete to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. Incredibly safe and a life of vulnerable conversation. Silent.” Holding hands on a cab rides home, exhausted by fine food and red wine. And oh, laughter. Uncontrollable laughter.”
He said, “You have opened up a dimension of love in me that I never knew about.”
As People magazine reports, Pete served as co-executive producer on King’s 2019 Hulu limited series “The Act,” in which she played the real-life gypsy Rose Blanchard.
Back in September 2019, Pete and King went public with their romance, heading out for a fun date night at Synapsia’s screening of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in Los Angeles.
King, who dated “Kissing Booth” costar Jacob Elordi before breaking up in 2018, said in 2020 that she would never date another actor again.
“No. I couldn’t. I think it’s great to date someone in your area who gets it, but doing the exact same thing that’s hard for someone. It’s really hard,” she said. Time said on SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show. ,
