Junior Squash: Delhi girl Anahata Singh wins double crown in two SRFI recognized tournaments

Delhi schoolgirl Anahata Singh won the double crown twice in a row at the Squash and Racquet Federation of India (SRFI) three-star tournaments in Allahabad and Kolkata. At the Sanjay Gupta Memorial Tournament in Allahabad, 13-year-old Anahata won the women’s and girls’ under-15 events respectively.

In age group, Anahata defeated Unnati Tripathi of Uttarakhand 3-0 while in women’s category she defeated Sunita Patel of Maharashtra by equal margin. In the first week, the current India No. 1 had also won a double crown at the Bengal Open in Kolkata.

Anahat defeated Rajasthan’s Yashi Jain 3-0 to win the girls’ under-15 title. Kishori also won the women’s title by defeating Rathika Seelan of Tamil Nadu 3-1.
