In a CCTV footage from Shivamogga, police can be seen detaining an accused in the murder of a Bajrang Dal worker from his house at around 3 am on Monday.
It is seen in the CCTV footage that the police is searching the accused before escorting him.

In the CCTV footage of the area, the police have detained Nadeem, who is an accused, from his house at around 3 am on Monday.
In the CCTV footage, the police can be seen searching the accused before taking him out.
On Tuesday, Shivamogga SP Lakshmi Prasad said that six people have been identified in connection with Harsha’s murder, identified as Asif, Syed Nadeem, Rehan Sharif, Nihan, Abdul Afnan and Kashif.

Besides them, at least a dozen people are in police custody in connection with the murder. Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said on Tuesday that a detailed investigation is being done from all angles including the hijab controversy, role of religious organisations, funding and who provided the vehicles.
Araga Gyanendra was quoted as saying by PTI, “Police has performed its duties. We appeal to the people not to give any place to disturb the peace. The government will definitely arrest the criminals and give them proper punishment.” “
Protests broke out in Shivamogga on Monday over Harsh’s death. The police had to use tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
After the murder, Section 144 was imposed in Shivamogga, which has been extended for two more days. All schools in the area will also remain closed for two days.
