Karnataka BJP leader Yatnal accuses Yeddyurappa, Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar and Kumaraswamy of ‘accommodation politics’

Outspoken BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Friday alleged “politics of adjustment” between Karnataka’s top political leaders such as BJP’s BS Yediyurappa, Congress’s Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar and JD(S)’s HD Kumaraswamy. The MLA of Vijayapura city accused him. To favor each other, no matter who is in power.

“Some of these people have adjustments from different parties, a big leader of BJP (Yeddyurappa), DK Shivakumar, Kumaraswamy all these people have adjustments. I have also said in the assembly that there is an adjustment of all the leaders sitting on the front seats. You all Yeddyurappa, Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar, Kumaraswamy speak at night.”

Talking to reporters here, he said, MLAs like him who sit in the back seats, “talk about their respective party leaders like fools, hold them in high esteem.”

“I have asked him to shut down his drama company. After Shikaripura, (Yeddyurappa’s constituency) the highest development grant has been given to Badami (represented by Siddaramaiah), then it was given to Shivakumar, when Yediyurappa was the CM. We, BJP MLAs have not been elected just to raise our hands… After raising the issue Bommai gave Rs 500 crore to my constituency as CM.”

Yatnal, a well-known critic of Yeddyurappa, was the first to predict that the state BJP leader would step down as CM. Responding to a question, Yatnal said, Ramesh Jarkiholi, who had to resign from the post of minister after the sex CD scandal, should be made a minister once again, as he has contributed to the BJP coming to power in the state.

“There was a conspiracy to cure him (Jarkiholi), the son of one of our (BJP) big leaders was also involved in a conspiracy with Congress leaders like DK Shivakumar,” he alleged. The former Union Minister also said that like the rule of one man-one post in BJP, a day will come when there will be a rule of one family-one ticket, so that party workers also get tickets to contest elections.
