Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for releasing an advance installment of tax transfer, in a series of tweets 3,467.62 crore, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Friday, saying it will help in the economic development of the state.
The Chief Minister, in a series of tweets, shared that the aid came at a time when the state of Karnataka was battling the third wave of COVID-19.
He tweeted, “Government of India releases advance installment of Rs 3,467.62 crore tax transfer for Karnataka. Out of this, 1,733.81 crore is regular installment for January 2022 and 1733.81 crore is advance installment. I thank on behalf of the people of Karnataka . PM @narendramodi ji & FM @nsitharaman ji.”
The Chief Minister further tweeted, “This will help increase spending in key sectors, boost demand and spur economic growth in Karnataka. Especially as the state is facing the third wave of COVID, the advance installment is a welcome relief.”
Meanwhile, in another development, the Karnataka Chief Minister on Friday launched a website providing information about programs of the central and state government, calling it a communication bridge between the people and the government.
“It should act as a communication bridge between the people and the government,” Bommai said during the launch.
Speaking after releasing a book on skill development, self-employment and employment registration in Mysore and launching a website providing details about the programs of the Central and State Governments, the Chief Minister said that the website would inform people about government programmes, their Will enable you to get detailed information.
