Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said the state government will bring a law ahead of the budget session to make temples independent.
Speaking during the BJP executive committee in Hubballi on Wednesday, CM Bommai said, “At present, Hindu temples are governed by various laws and regulations. We will bring a law before the budget session to make the temples independent.”
He said, “Many religious places are functioning safely under various laws and there is also freedom of worship. But our Hindu temples are governed by the rules and regulations of the government and the temples have to use their own money. prohibit.”
Bommai said, “The system of temples to use money from government officials should end. Before the next budget session, all temples will function independently and we will make a law for it.”
