Karnataka NEET counseling 2021 begins: Know how to secure seats in state medical colleges

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has started the online counseling process for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 From Monday, December 13, students can apply for the counseling process on the official portal of KEA at kea.kar.nic.in on or before December 17. The window to pay the application fee will remain open till 5:30 PM on December 18.

The registration is for admission to seats under 85 percent state quota in Karnataka. The counseling and seat allotment will be done as per the reservation policy of the state of Karnataka. The government share of AYUSH seats will not be allotted to non-Karnataka students.

Karnataka NEET Counseling 2021: Stages of Registration

Step 1: Log on to the official portal of KEA

Step 2: Read the official notification and other instructions before starting the registration.

Step 3: Register on KEA’s portal and generate login credentials by entering required details.

Step 4: Fill the application and upload the required documents.

Step 5: Verify the details before submitting

As per the official notification, the candidates who have already registered for UGCET 2021 and completed the verification process must check their correct UGNET 2021 on KEA portal between 13th to 17th December to be eligible to participate in the process. Roll number has to be entered. Such candidates will not have to pay the application fee again.

The candidates who are ranked in UGCET 2021 and are not claiming any additional reservation need not appear in the verification process but they have to download the verification slip from the portal of KEA. All other eligible candidates will have to attend the verification process along with all the required documents, the notice added.

Any candidate who is eligible to claim reservation as per the policy of the State Government and belongs to a linguistic or religious minority, NRI ward or to claim seats under Category 2 to Category 8 in St-John’s Medical College, Bengaluru is eligible for, has to claim his/her reservation in the application form.
