The IPS officer said that he was transferred prematurely with the intention of harassment.
Bangalore:
A senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer P Rabindranath on Tuesday resigned from his post in Karnataka claiming (mental) harassment.
Mr. Rabindranath’s resignation letter read, “I have been transferred prematurely with the intention of harassment, as I have taken legal action against those involved in the issue of fake caste certificates.”
Reacting to his resignation, Karnataka minister Shivaram Hebbar said, “Such resignations come during the tenure of every government, not only during the tenure of the BJP government. They say they are doing it under pressure but never. -Sometimes there are different internal matters. I don’t know why he resigned.”
“Senior officials take their own decisions. They have not blamed the government. Any worker will always be under some kind of pressure. I am a minister, and I am under a lot of pressure but resignation is not the solution,” Mr. Hebbar said.
