A woman died after being hit by a swarm of wasps in Bantwal in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district. The police gave this information on Monday.
Meenakshi, a daily wage laborer, was attacked by a wasp two days ago when she was collecting dry twigs on the roadside. He was stung by a swarm of wasps in the twigs he had collected.
She went to a nearby house for first aid, from where she was taken to a private hospital in Deralakatte. Police said the woman failed to respond to treatment and died on Sunday.
