Addressing a public meeting in Veraval town of Gir Somnath district, the Delhi Chief Minister said that if AAP forms the government in Gujarat, his party will ensure that every unemployed youth gets a job in the next five years.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday promised a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 and a job guarantee to every youth in Gujarat if his party comes to power in the state in the upcoming assembly elections. Kejriwal’s promise of new jobs comes days after he assured free electricity of up to 300 units per month if voted to power in the BJP-ruled state, where elections are due by the end of the year.

Addressing a public meeting at Veraval town in Gir Somnath district of Saurashtra region, the Delhi Chief Minister said that if AAP forms the government in Gujarat, his party will ensure that every unemployed youth gets a job in the next five years. Till we don’t give them jobs, every unemployed youth will get unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 per month.

As part of his party’s pre-poll “guarantees”, Kejriwal promised to create 10 lakh government job vacancies. The AAP leader also promised a law to check the leak of question papers of government recruitment exams and punish the guilty.

In recent times, there have been many cases of leaked papers of competitive examinations. He said, we will ensure that the mafia behind the paper leak is punished severely and the system of paper leak in Gujarat is stopped. The Delhi Chief Minister said that the AAP government will reform the recruitment process in the cooperative sector and make it transparent so that youth are not kept there through recommendations or bribes as is the case now.
