Kia India registers 18.44% year-on-year growth: Seltos, Carsens in high demand – Times of India

In FY21-22, Kia recorded sales of 1,86,787 units despite semiconductor shortages and supply chain disruption. The company posted a 20% year-on-year growth, as Sonet and Seltos posted a 40% and 51% growth in FY12 home sales, respectively.
Commenting on the development, Hardeep Singh Brar, VP and Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia India said, “2022 has been a good year for us so far as we have been able to maintain our positive sales momentum in the last quarter. The growing sales numbers can be attributed to our recently launched Carence, which has won the hearts of Indian customers.”
He further added, “While we are happy with the increasing demand for Kia cars in the country, we are well aware of the long waiting period and hence we have started production in three shifts at our Anantapur facility. We are still in the recovery phase. , as semiconductor shortage continues to be a concern, which has impacted our planned production. However, we assure our customers that we are alert to trends globally and to keep waiting periods under control. Taking adequate measures.”
Recently, the Kia Cars crossed the 50,000 booking milestone and registered 12,117 units in just one and a half month of launch.
