The Seltos mid-size SUV was the top seller in the Kia India lineup, contributing 42 per cent to the total sales of 11,000 units. This was followed by the Sonet compact SUV and the Carens MPV with sales of 36 per cent (9,291 units) and 20 per cent (5,233 units) respectively. Carnival Limousine maintained a healthy traction with 333 units sold in September 2022.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia India said, “The improvement in sales is also a result of easing of supply chain bottlenecks, which is good news for the industry. Not only Kia but the entire 4-wheeler industry has posted decent sales in September, and the festivities are yet to come. We are experiencing increased demand for our products around the festive season, thus continuing our growth momentum till the end of CY2022.’
Kia India surpassed its total sales of CY21, just nine months into CY22, setting the latest record. The automaker has also recently topped the Dealer Satisfaction Study 2022 by Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) with a score of 871. This was the third year in a row that the company achieved this feat while at the top in the last two years (2021 and 2020).
