It was a Super Sunday in IPL 2023 as two of the biggest stars of Indian cricket – M S Dhoni And Virat Kohli Were in action. Kohli, the stand-in captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Dhoni, the forever captain of Chennai Super Kings, both tasted victory in their respective matches.
RCB got the better of Rajasthan Royals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium while CSK got the better of Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.

CSK became the first team with 10 points this season after registering a comprehensive 49-run win over KKR. It was their fifth win of the season and catapulted RR to the top of the standings. RR are now second in the table with eight points from seven matches.

RCB, on the other hand, registered their fourth win of the season, climbing a rung to fifth in the table. He now has eight points from seven matches. Five teams now have eight points and are now separated by net run-rate.
With their fifth loss, KKR remain at the eighth spot.

Faf du Plessis may not be fully fit as he is now being used as an impact player for the second time in a row, but that hasn’t stopped him from scoring runs. He played a brilliant inning of 62 runs in 39 balls against RR with the help of eight fours and two sixes.

With this, Faf scored 404 runs in seven matches at an impressive strike rate of 165.30. He continues to hold the Orange Cap.
Devon Conway, who scored his fourth consecutive half-century, has joined the race. He scored 56 against KKR and is now second in the list of top run-getters with 314 runs from seven matches. David Warner (285), Virat Kohli (279) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (270) round out the top five.

Mohammed Siraj now leads the race for the Purple Cap with 13 wickets, taking one wicket against RR. While he has as many wickets as Arshdeep Singh of Punjab Kings, Siraj is at the top spot due to a better economy rate.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Rashid Khan and Tushar Deshpande completed the top five wicket haul with 12 wickets each.
