Shivamogga/Mysore : Former Minister KS Eshwarappa On Wednesday, the party high command was not demanding replacement of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Talking to reporters, he said Congress There is a history of changing CMs like Virendra Patil and S Bangarappa, not BJP, “I have clarified many times that there will be no change in leadership. Congress leaders are daydreaming,” he said.
Virendra Patil was one of the best CM of Karnataka, having sanctioned various drinking water projects when he was elected as MLA for the first time. He said the Congress removed him and appointed two chief ministers within five years.
No change in leadership: STS
Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekar said on Wednesday that there has been no change in the guard in Karnataka.
Congress leaders are trying to divert people’s attention from the internal strife that started after the 75th birthday celebrations of opposition leader Siddaramaiah at Davangere last week. Somashekar told reporters that they are spreading rumors that the BJP will have a third chief minister which is far from the truth.
He said, “As a representative of the government and a minister, I am 100% sure that there will be no change in leadership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have lauded Bommai for his administration.”
Taking a dig at KPCC President DK Shivakumar and the opposition Leader Siddaramaiah, the minister said that both are trying to deceive each other.
Responding to a question, Somashekar said that he is not in the race to become the chief minister.
