KU launches digital locker for students – Times of India

Kurukshetra University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva launched university digital locker on Wednesday.
Prof Som Nath said that keeping in mind the interests of the students, KU has taken a step towards automation and started Digital Locker service. They said that University Grants Commission (UGC) had written to all educational institutions requesting them to accept the documents, degrees, mark sheets and other documents issued in DigiLocker account as valid documents, under which KU facilitated the students. He further said that under the digital locker service, the marksheets of BA, BBA, BCA and BCom classes of odd semesters of the year 2019 have been uploaded. For the convenience of the students in the coming time, soon the marksheets of other classes will be uploaded on the digital locker. He said that the digital locker service is free for the students and it will save their time.
They said that National Educational Depository An online repository of academic awards (degree-marksheets etc.) issued by educational institutions digitally. It facilitates the students to obtain authentic documents/certificates in digital format directly from anywhere without being physically present.
UIET Director Prof Sunil Dhingra said that to avail the Digital Locker service facility, students will have to open their account on the app by entering the Aadhar card and related information, after which they will be able to avail this facility free of cost. cost. He said that so far about 1.5 lakh students have been uploaded data on it.
