Lawyer Majeed Memon on Aryan Khan Drugs Case: Denial of bail after 17 days in custody will be difficult – Exclusive! – times of India

Senior advocate Majeed Memon hopes that Aryan Khan Will get bail today in Mumbai’s sessions court. When ETimes contacted Memon today to record his views on what could happen in court, he said, “He should be granted bail unless denied. Party venue under NDPS Act.” I see no substance in the charges against him except his presence and consumption of a banned substance. In my view, denial of bail after 17 days of custody will bring undue hardship and punishment to the accused.”

NS Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) based most of his arguments on WhatsApp chats from the phones of Aryan and Arbaaz Merchant. We ask Memon if this chat will happen in court? Memon replied, “No! The alleged chat conversation does not escalate the situation as there is no corroboration or actual backing. The prosecution suspects that he is from an influential family and thus tampered with evidence.” This is also a bald allegation without merit.”

Arbaaz Merchant’s lawyer a few days ago tarak saeed, while exclusively talking to ETimes, it was also revealed that NCB doesn’t really have a strong case and everything is based on WhatsApp chats recovered from the phones of Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant. Saeed had said, “The case is based on WhatsApp chats recovered from the mobile phones of two accused, which were neither taken from them nor confiscated from them.” There is no mention of seizure in the Panchnama.

When Memon last spoke to ETimes on October 3, he had speculated that Aryan would get bail soon. “It appears that the quantity allegedly attributed to him for personal consumption is small and not commercial quantity and hence the offense will be bailable,” he had said.
