“I probably didn’t bowl as well as I wanted in the first four games,” Cummins admitted in an interview to the KKR website.
“Yes [I was] Just a little off the mark. And Tim has done a great job. So yeah, good to go tonight. I was preparing, training, getting ready to be called when needed. And Umesh’s injury gave the opportunity. Yes, I didn’t have to try anything hard, [I was] I was trying to be a little higher on the money than in the first four games,” he further added.

“I think I’ve played enough not to worry too much about the ups and downs, especially T20 cricket. The last few matches on the bench have been a good opportunity to see Tim Southee, who is bowling brilliantly, So learning from someone like him and just trying to be a little more disciplined when I got the chance again,” said the Australian Test captain.
KKR are in trouble in the last leg of IPL. He once again made wholesale changes to the line-up, but this time against Mumbai Indians Trump came out. With their terrible net run-rate at this stage of the competition, KKR will need to win all their games by a huge margin and then hope that other results will turn in their favor if they want to qualify for the playoff spot.
