Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar dies at 92 – Times of India

great singer Lata Mangeshkari He passed away today at the age of 92. He was admitted to a city hospital in early January this year after he tested positive for Covid-19 and also developed pneumonia. Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the ICU with mild symptoms and was recovering slowly.

Around January 28, the singer was taken off the ventilator after showing slight signs of improvement. However, her condition worsened on 5 February and she was back on ventilator support. Since her condition was critical, the veteran singer was put under aggressive treatment and was undergoing the procedures before her unfortunate demise.

Lata Mangeshkar is affectionately calledNightingale of India, He ventured into singing at the age of 13 and recorded his first song in 1942. In his career spanning seven decades, he sang more than 30,000 songs in different languages. Lata Mangeshkar has been the voice of popular songs like ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai’, ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera’ and ‘Didi Tera Devar Deewana’.

She was the eldest among siblings Meena Khadikar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar.

The mortal remains of the legendary singer will be taken to Shivaji Park to pay homage.
