Reactions

At a rally in Bihar, the message of the Prime Minister and later, in his values, is loud and accurate on fighting terrorism. India’s early and measured reactions are absolutely firm. Although there have been punitive attacks by India, which have established some preventers, the Pahgam massacre indicates a erosion in it. Terrorism appears to be a part of the constitution of a hostile neighbor. Diplomatic tricks that attempts for global separation of a terrorist state are a sign of a vocal India. Nevertheless, it is not certain whether these measures will be sufficient to send a strong message alone as Pakistan stops ‘non-state actor participation’ in terrorism.

Suspicious

Although Pakistan has ‘offered’ to help in investigating the Pahalgam attack, India cannot trust Pakistan. It can be remembered that after every major terrorist attack in India, Pakistan only offered assistance to deny participation, delay investigation or protect major conspirators. Even after legitimate proof of Pakistan’s participation in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, Pakistan pulled its feet and molded the mastermind. Pakistan often uses proposals of cooperation to manage international pressure, but greatly reduces the infrastructure of terror.

Government steps

The Government of India recently issued an advisory to ban TV channels, social media affected and others by sharing live coverage or sensitive footage during security works. But in fact, this instruction is clearly ignored. It is an era of camera-rich news coverage, and the movements of the armed forces and strategies should remain absolutely confidential. No footage, no leaks-‘Sarkar-friendly’ media outlets (inside pages, “Loc weighs for Pavalgam attack”, not even on 28 April).

In view of the terrorist attack, there are some establishments which are involved in Kirpan Tejashwi. Even some statements of the top ministers will not get a drop of Indus water ‘from’ Hum we will hunt them to the end of the earth ‘. The fact is that all this is empty rhetoric and is being done to influence the innocent mind. To say that Pakistan will not get a drop of Indus water, this is a danger that cannot be applied practically.

Safe tourism

The incident has raised questions about the past and future and a permanent solution of the Kashmir issue. One thing is clear – terrorist groups will use any vacuum to complete heinous activities. Perhaps the government needs to start a high-protection tourism package for Kashmir, where tourists will have to book slots. Each group may also have security cover.

Apart from enabling the defense forces/security personnel to monitor things, it will also send a message to the common man that the Indian government is doing its best to protect its livelihood.

The Terror Fight

As a citizens of a vibrant democracy, we must remember that the fight against terror should be teased within the structure of the law. Swift action should not compromise constitutional security measures or innocent lives. Justice should be served without reducing many principles that define our nation. Strength and sensitivity should go by hand.

While strong diplomatic measures are necessary against Pakistan, India should avoid falling in a tight-for-tat spiral which does not benefit anyone. Criminals should be a priority to catch and protect Kashmiris across the country. They are not external, but citizens, who are equally scared of terrorism. National unity cannot be sacrificed on the altar of political messages. India’s greatest strength lies in maintaining a quiet, reliable discovery of the rule and truth of law. Venus can provide momentary satisfaction, but will serve restraint, permanent national security directed by facts.

IPL 2025

It is disappointing to see the performance of some IPL teams in this season, even a decent battle has failed. From next year, the number of participating teams should be increased and qualifying rounds should be introduced. Another great issue during the auction has been a poor selection of players. Accountability on selectors should be fixed by franchise management. It is also immoral to maintain some players on the basis of their previous fame to generate revenue by disregarding some players only by disregarding their current form and fitness.
