Ukraine arises like a Phoenix with or without the support of Americans. The drone attack is vengeance by Ukraine who surprised Russia’s surprise (‘world’ page, 2 June). Age-old proverb has proved to be correct again. Not a winner in a war. Isn’t it time for warning countries to call a truss?

There are two wars that need to be abolished- Russia- Ukraine and Israel-Gaza war. As the United States President wants to donate the role of a global peacekeepers, he should pursue efforts to achieve all aspects to agree to talk on sustainable peace.

On the forecast and ground
The indigenously developed new weather system, India forecast system, will definitely improve the accuracy of forecasts. But the more important aspect of handling bad weather is the preparation of the local administration. Improvement in flood proofing and related-infrastructure should be given priority. There only takes place to fight fire in every monsoon.
