LIC HFL to pay 425% dividend soon: See record date

with a market valuation of 22,057.53 crore, LIC Housing Finance Limited is a large-cap corporation that provides financial services. One of the leading housing finance companies in India is LIC Housing Finance Limited (LICHFL), which also has subsidiaries, LICHFL Asset Management Company, LICHFL Financial Services, LICHFL Trustee Company Private Limited and LICHFL Care Homes Limited. The Board of Directors of the company has approved a dividend of 425% on the face value for the financial year 2021-2022 2 (or 8.50 for each equity share of Rs. 2)).

In order to determine the eligibility of shareholders for dividend purpose, the company in a regulatory filing stated that “The Board has approved that the Register of Members and the Share Transfer Book of the Company shall remain closed with effect from Wednesday, the 21st September, 2022. for the purpose of payment and 33rd Annual General Meeting by Thursday, the 29th September, 2022 (both days inclusive). Accordingly, dividend shall be paid to the members holding shares in physical form, whose names appear in the Register of Members of the Company on Thursday, 29th September , will appear at the end of business after all valid transfers have been physically effected by 2022. Based on the details furnished by National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) and Central Depository Services (India) Limited on Tuesday, the 20th September, 2022 or Form filed with the company before that and in respect of shares held in electronic form. (CDSL) on the close of working hours on Saturday, Tuesday, the 20th September, 2022.”

at the current share price of LIC HFL’s dividend of 401.90, 8.50 yields a yield of 2.11% per share. Data on BSE indicates that the record date has been set as September 29, 2022, while the prior date for dividend purpose is September 19, 2022.

LIC HFL shares closed on Friday 401.90 each, up 0.012% from previous close 401.85 per share. In the last 1 year, the stock has gained 1.13% and based on YTD, the stock has gained 5.93% so far in 2022. On NSE, LIC Housing Finance Ltd shares touched a 52-week high. 52-week low of 462.50 and at (19-Oct-2021) At 291.75 (20-Jun-2022) which indicates that the stock is trading 13.10% down from the high and 37.75% above the low at the current market price.
