The Election Commission has mandated that at least one polling station in each assembly constituency shall be exclusively managed by women. Our officers have identified much more than this. There are 690 assembly seats but we are making 1620 such polling stations.

Elections will also be held in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat in the year 2022. The election will be a litmus test for the ruling BJP, which has governments in four of the five states that go to polls in the next few months.

New rivals like the Samajwadi Party (SP) in UP and the Trinamool Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa will try to make the best use of the anti-incumbency wave in these states.
