LK Advani turns 95 – Glimpses of morning celebrations and a look at key moments

New Delhi: Veteran politician LK Advani celebrated his 95th birthday on Tuesday.

One of the co-founders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Advani was instrumental in the development of the party, and is best known for himself. He served in several positions in the Union Cabinet during his long career, including being Deputy Prime Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government from 2002 to 2004.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh greeted the leader by offering flowers at his residence in the morning. Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda tweeted wishing Advani on his birthday.
