Just a few years ago, this place in the Yesvantpur industrial area of Bangalore was just a steel and concrete warehouse.
Ajay Raghavan and Manisha Vinod joined forces with like-minded people in their search for a place that would act as a community space that would promote sustainable living. They came to this big godown in Yeshwantpur. And their labor of love, Bangalore Creative Circus was born.
Ajay and Manisha watched National Geographic documentary, before the flood, shortly after its release. In it, actor Leonardo DiCaprio discusses the dangers and possible solutions of climate change with scientists, activists and world leaders.
Sustainability, which was only a matter of interest till then, became a pressing issue Ajay and Manisha decided to tackle. He started a social media campaign asking people to donate things they were planning to throw away.
These scraps became the interior decoration of the Bangalore Creative Circus. The venue was open to the public from October 2021.
Almost every area of Bangalore Creative Circus is full of quirky, repurposed scraps. to know more, read here
